My name is Tyler Grigsby. i am an amateur photographer that is currently taking an advanced photography class at Coeur d'Alene High School. Hmmmmmmm, proof of her using a phone during class time. VERY interesting.
I will say the same thing that I told her. These images do not ring out being bout shadow- it is about a portrait of her. You can have a portrait that is about shadow- take a look at Scott and Zack's blog and see their shadow portraits.
It is important to shoot a large number of photos, the only way that you will get better is to shoot more and more, and TRY different things. If it doesn't work, well at least you tried and you learned from it about why it doesn't work.
